Bay Street is an urban village full of retail, restaurants and entertainment for everyone. Take in a movie at the AMC 16-screen Megaplex, or the nearby UA Emery Bay 10 screen theater. The best in entertainment is always plentiful with Oakland, UC Berkeley and San Francisco so nearby. Emeryville also celebrates the arts through its Art in Public Places program. Emeryville Unified School District has only two schools, K-6 and 7-12, and is committed to providing to each student “a rigorous education in a welcoming safe school environment that supports student learning, tolerance, respect and engagement with people from different cultures, backgrounds and beliefs.” Repeatedly earning the largest improvement in test scores of any district in Alameda County, Emery has also developed intervention courses, after school and summer opportunities and a rich variety of visual and performing arts.
